In 2007, MTGIC began a concert series advocating the aesthetic and healing powers of music to bring awareness to patrons in the concert hall of these benefits. The concerts typically include works written by composers affected by neurologic disease or trauma such as Messiaen (born with synaesthasia)
and Beethoven (suffered from deafness).
Preceding the concert events are a series of lectures to inform both therapeutic professionals and concert goers of the structural content of music and how it can be used to redirect neural networks.
